Family Healthcare Plan

Private Health care remains relatively under developed in East Africa. True, private hospitals, clinics and other medical facilities about; but there is a distinct lack of well established, properly regulated medical founding institutions offering, as part of their core functions, healthcare insurance products developed in conjunction with, and in variably supported by conventional insurers.

In response to these mounting concerns ICEA has gone beyond the traditional indemnity basis of providing medical insurance coverage to embrace the concept of managed healthcare.

Among ICEA’s latest products is the Family Health Care Policy.  The policy not only guarantees the prescribed indemnity, on insured basis, to the individual members of a family unit for inpatient expenses, but will in due course also put at their disposal, high quality managed health care service at prescribed healthcare institution.  The country’s   wide reach of this service has been made possible by the recent expansion of our extensive regional network, supplemented by the soon to be established affiliated agency office.  This online, interconnected network will have a significant part of play in the coordination and supervision of the requisite health care delivery system, with its unique demands for sensitive handling and timely response, especially in relation to one of its core benefits, rapid emergency evacuation service.
